That's The Way (My Love Is)

I have learned the fine art now of judging what is expected of me when I am being beat down. It takes a keen ear to detect if the desired result is one of the following: submission, capitulation, confession, or negation...

Sometimes when I am being beaten down, the desired result appears to be tears, a bleating "no more, no more", until the monster is satisfied... In stark opposition, sometimes the desired result appears to be to stop me crying, until a numb pall falls over the scene... As she beats me, she repeats over and over again "stop crying, stop crying you piece of shit", and the formula reads that once you do the beating will stop...

I learn the fine art of giving her whatever she desires, if only to feel that I am the one ultimately in control.

So when I am beat now, if the desire seems to be to make me cry, I learn a sort of fake sob, dramatized to heighten the necessary effect... She doesn't seem to notice the difference between the fake version and the real deal, so this passes muster and therefore I never need to cry at all...

And what the fuck does this means?!
It means change...
It means possibility...
It means LOVE in the grandest sense of the world...
And most of all, it means hope...
And I a'int talking about music...

Try, Try, Try Billy!!

Aprendí con el tiempo a no despellejar el conejo antes de cazarlo, pero... Los rumores son cada vez más fuertes, y ya no puedo aguantarme la novedad!!

La primera bomba detonó en el carioca pais hermano: - A banda de Billy Corgan está chegando, mesmo. Está fechadA para o final de abril, em cidades a confirmar, a "descida" da banda de Billy Corgan para a América do Sul. Depois de acertar shows no México e na Costa Rica, o Smashing Pumpkins leva a American Gothic Tour para Lima, no Peru. Logo depois, a banda vem para Brasil, Chile e Argentina.

Después Perú hizo lo propio: "This is the second time a Smashing Pumpkins show has been canceled for Lima. On the other hand, fans in Mexico, Chile and Argentina will have the chance to see their concert."

No more records!!

Smashing Pumpkins volvieron a entrar al estudio, pero no piensan en volver a editar nunca más un album de estudio. Como está eso? Simple... Fiel a su estilo transgresor, el bueno de Billy Corgan ya no creé que el futuro del mercado musical esté en el mecánico circuito de album-gira-album-gira... (quien lo creé ya a estas alturas?)

Asique no hay ni la más minima confirmación por el momento de un sucesor de estudio de lo que fué su regreso esperadísimo (bueno, por mi por lo menos) regreso del año pasado "Zeitgeist"

Al respecto, Jimmy Chamberlain cuenta que: "No creo que volvámos a producir un nuevo disco de estudio alguna vez. Creémos que el antiguo modelo de la industria esta muerto y acabado y ya no tiene forma de continuar adelante. Pero nosotros tenemos la necesidad de seguir adelante y mantenernos frescos. La música tiene muchos canales para llegar a presentarse en directo."

Los Pumpkins se encuentran actualmente sin contrato con ninguna discográfica y planean continuar asi, sólo editando canciones por su cuenta. "Entiendo que aun estámos en condiciones de escribir material, titularlo y presentarlo en directo, pero a un nuevo nivel. La idea es lanzar las cosas en bloque, digamos de a tres o cuatro canciones por vez."

Chamberlain también hizo publico que el y Corgan comenzarán a grabar material nuevo el día 1ro de Mayo en el estudio que acaban de comprar en Chicago. A esperarlos entonces!
